Gene Ray is a tax partner at Habif, Arogeti & Wynne, LLP. His strong work ethic and dedication to client service has allowed him to be successful in the industry for more than 33 years. Though he has worked with companies in a variety of industries throughout his career, today, Gene is focused on “Green Incentives” provided by recent tax law changes and has experience in the areas of hydrogen fuel cell projects, and wind and solar projects.
Gene specializes in taxation with an emphasis on partnerships and limited liability corporations, S-corporations and estate and gift taxation. He also has extensive experience in structuring business transactions, as well as tax and financial planning for businesses and individuals. In addition to being a CPA, Gene is also a Certified Valuation Analyst, or CVA.
After seven years with a leading accounting and consulting firm, Gene joined Miller Ray Houser & Stewart, LLP in 1986. Miller Ray Houser & Stewart merged with HA&W in 2007.
Gene earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his Masters degree in Accountancy from Georgia State University. His professional affiliations include:
