Barry is a partner emeritus at HA&W, working out of both the Atlanta and Sarasota offices. He helps attorneys and their clients in case preparation, internal investigations, funds and assets tracing, damages analysis, forensic accounting, business valuations and case strategy development. His services include expert testimony on financial topics, transaction analysis, business valuations, damages and related matters. His testimony experience includes commercial and domestic cases, and he has experience as a mediator, an arbitrator and a court-appointed arbitrator, special master/auditor and receiver. He is registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution as an arbitrator and for general and divorce mediation.
Barry's experience includes personal and business financial consulting. He has been involved in the development of business plans and strategies and the negotiation of merger/acquisition transactions, along with personal financial planning and individual and business tax planning and compliance.
Barry earned his undergraduate degree in accounting and political science from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Taxation degree from Georgia State University, and his Juris Doctor from the College of Law of Georgia State University. In addition to his CPA, he holds a Certified in Financial Forensics designation from the AICPA and is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).
