Kurt
is a partner and co-chair of the Audit Group of Habif,
Arogeti & Wynne, LLP. He has over 23 years of experience in the accounting
industry. Prior to joining HA&W, he was the Managing Director of the
Atlanta office of Accume Partners, a firm specializing in risk management
and assessment services, outsourced and co-sourced internal and information
technology auditing, IT consulting, corporate governance and Sarbanes-Oxley
compliance services.
For over twenty
years Kurt was with BDO Seidman where he served as the managing partner
of the firm’s assurance and accounting practice. He specialized in
providing accounting and auditing services to publicly traded and privately
owned businesses in a variety of industries including, manufacturing, technology,
software, telecommunications, distribution, retail, real estate and aviation/airline
clients.
Kurt also assisted
his clients in the completion of over 50 acquisitions, including due diligence
efforts. In addition, he helped his clients with the completion of over
20 debt and equity offerings, including several initial public offerings
raising in excess of $1 billion.
Kurt received
his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Accounting from Shippensburg
University. He participates in several civic and industry organizations:
