HA&W Supports National Association of Chinese Americans
NACA Presented Career development Seminar to Ga Tech

Atlanta, GA April 6th, 2008 - National Association of Chinese-Americans (NACA) presented a career development seminar to Chinese graduate students in GA Tech on March 18th,2008

The seminar focused on the career development and transition from University to Corporate America with emphasis on acquiring the first job.

The first speaker was Ms. Ying Yi, Financial Analyst of ING America, who described her personal experiences from a career in environmental engineering to financial analysis. The Chinese students appreciated the openness of opportunities in America.

The second speaker was Mr. Mitchell Kopelman, Partner of Habif, Arogeti & Wynne (HA & W). HA & W is the 58th largest accounting firm in America, and the 5th largest in Atlanta. Mr. Mitchell Kopelman, Partner in charge of the firm’s technology and tax practices, explained to the students what it takes to compete successfully in the global market.

Finally, Ms. Heather Mausz, Director of Recruitment and Development at HA & W. explained to the students her methods to seek out the best candidates to keep her firm at a competitive advantage and a program to further develop the firm’s current staff to senior level of responsibility.

With these speakers, NACA was able to demonstrate to the students career paths from University to senior executive in corporate America.
