Do I need to use any new software?
You
may need to download a specific browser which should
contain High Encryption to use our online transactions
service. This is a free download. The information you need
is available below under the 'Is it Safe?'
heading. We cannot guarantee that your online transactions
will work if you do not use the recommended software.
What can I pay online?
You
can pay any invoice or statement you receive from HA&W,
LLP and it's subsidiaries.
Is it safe?
Yes
it is safe. Your transaction will take place within a secure
payment system. We use Secure Socket Layor (SSL) technology,
a standard supported by major internet browsers. All of
your personal and card details are protected by using 128
bit protection when transmitted over the Internet. In order
for a transaction to take place securely your browser must
support 128 bit encryption. If your browser does not support
this level of encryption, click on the icon below to upgrade
your browser. Click
the Verisign Secure Site icon at the bottom of the
page to verify our certificate.
If
you are in a public place we strongly advise you make sure
you are not overlooked as you enter your details to prevent
them being misused by somebody else.
What if it doesn't
work?
The
number one reason a transaction may not go through is because the name,
number and expiration date may not have been entered correctly on the form.
Please verify that you are entering the information exactly as it appears
on the account.
If you can
not get into the payments page at all when you click on "Pay Your Invoices
Online", this is probably because your browser doesn't support 128
bit encryption. You are therefore prevented from making a payment since
anything less than 128 is not safe. In order to make the payment, you will
need to update your encryption bit. This is very easy to do and will not
cost you anything. Click on the icon below to update your encryption bit
to 128 Internet Explorer.
When will my payment be processed?
Your
payment can only be processed during the week. It will not
be processed over the weekend and on bank holidays. All
payments paid up to 3.45pm will be paid on the same day
and all payments 4.00pm onwards will be processed the next
working day.
Which cards do you accept?

You can pay by Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
Can I have
a receipt?
You
will receive a confirmation of your payment on your screen
after you make the payment. You can print this out as confirmation.
Your payment will also appear on your credit card statement.
What if my card is refused?
Cards
are not refused by HA&W - they are refused by your bank.
There are many reasons why this may happen and we suggest
you contact your bank directly.
Why is HA&W offering online payments?
To
better serve our clients by providing a convenient alternative
to mailing checks, and to expedite our internal accounting
functions.
