With over 50
years experience, HA&W has grown to become the largest regional accounting
firm in Atlanta. Currently, we have approximately 145 employees including
24 partners. We currently occupy the first two and a half floors of Glenridge
Highlands Two, which is a new facility located in Sandy Springs.
Our
firm maintains a personable atmosphere towards the employees
where the management, including partners are always offering
an open door policy. The accounting staff have many opportunities
to work with partners and clients which keeps the staff
involved in the entire accounting process. Entry level accountants
start with our firm as a more generalist approach for their
first two years in an industry group working in tax, audit,
and accounting. After they have developed their experience
in these fields, they have the option to specialize in tax,
audit or accounting in their industry of choice.
The
staff are encouraged by HA&W to develop their career
and education by requiring 40 hours of CPE yearly with expenses
paid by the firm. This is facilitated by our Education Coordinator
& GSCPA. Opportunities for advancement are available
frequently for excelling staff. The firm also sponsors a
volunteer mentor program that provides guidance for all
staff from experienced employees.
The
firm understands the importance of work-life balance by
offering flexible work schedules, ability to telecommute,
and involvement in the community.
Our work environment is friendly and relaxed, which includes
a business casual dress code year round.
To ensure involvement
and input from the staff, all employees are encouraged to participate in
firm committees that address topics from current tax issues to staff social
activities. The best resources that HA&W has are our employees which
is why they are always encouraged to give input on any issues related to
the firm!
