we offer many employee benefits to help you, your family, and your career.
Our
salaries are better than average (compiled by Creative
Financial Staffing) We offer company paid health insurance
and other optional insurance benefits to you and your family,
a 401K plan and a profit sharing plan. Our personal time
off (PTO) policy is flexible and allows each employee a
minimum of 16 days off per calendar year to use for sick,
vacation or personal time.
Professional
Development
Developing
our employees through training is important to HA&W.
In addition to our in-house training, which is facilitated
by our Education Coordinator, we require and cover the expenses
for all accountants to receive 40 hours of continuing professional
education (CPE) each year. This training is accomplished
through outside seminars and speakers that we bring into
the firm. In addition, we offer information sessions on
our subsidiearies, joint venture companies, and other business
trends. We also offer an internal Career Development Program
consisting of training in the areas of:

CPA
Preparation
One of the
requirements for staff accountants to progress to senior accountant level
is to sit for and pass the CPA exam. The firm's generous Personal Time Off
(PTO) policy allows staff the option to use some of their allotted days
for studying for the exam. The actual days of the exam are provided to the
staff at no expense or requirement to use PTO. Once the staff passes
the exam, a bonus of $300 is awarded to them for their outstanding accomplishment!
