Kurt
is an Audit Partner and the chair of the firm’s Public
Company (SEC) Practice Group. Kurt has over 29 years of
experience in the accounting industry. Prior to joining
HA&W, Kurt was with BDO Seidman where he served as the
managing partner of the firm’s assurance and accounting
practice. He specializes in providing accounting and auditing
services to publicly-traded and privately owned businesses
in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, technology
(hardware and software), medical equipment, healthcare and
life sciences, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, distribution,
real estate and aviation/airline clients.
Kurt
has assisted his publicly-traded clients to successfully
navigate the complex reporting rules and regulations as
promulgated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”)
and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (“PCAOB”).
This includes the completion of Forms 10, 10K, 10Q, 8K,
S-1, S-2, S-3, S-4 and S-8. The prospectuses associated
with many of these registration statements were related
to debt and equity offerings, including several initial
public offerings, which raised in excess of $1 billion.
Many of Kurt’s clients have significant international
operations, both inbound and outbound, and he is well-versed
in dealing with the issues that confront global businesses.
Kurt also assisted his clients in the completion of over
60 acquisitions, including due diligence efforts.
Kurt
received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Accounting
from Shippensburg University. He participates in several
