Comers”

Yelena
Epova selected as one of the metro area’s top young
professionals by the Atlanta Business Chronicle
ATLANTA,
October 27, 2006 – Yelena Epova, a partner with Atlanta
accounting firm Habif, Arogeti & Wynne, LLP (HA&W),
was selected by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of
the city’s “up and comers” for 2006. Each
year, the paper selects and presents awards to 40 business
professionals under the age of 40 who have made significant
contributions to their communities and are leaders in their
companies.
After
emigrating to the United States in 1990, Epova joined HA&W
in 1993. She was elected to partnership in 2003 and currently
heads the firm’s international tax practice.

I work with.”

Epova
specializes in advising domestic and international companies
on international tax issues and tax planning strategies
regarding inbound and outbound operations. Additionally,
she works with companies in addressing their transfer pricing
issues, developing policies and performing transfer pricing
studies. Epova also assists clients with domestic tax issues
by providing tax planning and compliance services.
She
is an active member in many professional organizations including
the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,
where she served on the task force that is reviewing Proposed
Treasury Regulations on Transfer Pricing; the Georgia Society
of Certified Public Accountants, where she participates
in its Leadership Development Program; and Baker
Tilly International, where she chairs the North American
International Tax Committee. In addition, Epova is a founding
board member of GlobalEXECWomen, is an active member of
the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce and chairs the Ha’Or
(Light) Committee of the Marcus Jewish Community Center
of Atlanta.
